Your Motivation for Today
It’s time to get inspired with another beautiful sunrise!
As the golden clouds press against the blue ones, my first thought when viewing this beautiful sunrise is they are pushing them out of the way. Thus, our stop in Sunrise Intersections is “Rolling Through the Stop.”
Finding the Right Words
I still find it remarkable that images such as this evolve at sunrise. Often, it is a challenge to find the words to describe it accurately. But more importantly, I feel very blessed to be able to capture it with my camera.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared some tips for photographing a sunrise. They are my recipe for success—balance, location, what to look for, patience, strong coffee, and more.
A Dose of Luck
But another doesn’t require skills, and that’s just pure luck. I’ve been out mornings before dawn, hoping conditions will be suitable to produce such a miracle as “Rolling Through the Stop.” And at times, I left disappointed. Not every day will yield such perfection. Some days, you just get lucky! And that is why being diligent and dedicated to your craft will yield such rewards.
So if you are new to photography or perhaps rethinking your decision to get up so early, I’m here to tell you, “Don’t give up”. The sleep sacrifice and a little luck WILL make those predawn mornings worth the effort, giving you a front-row seat to one of nature’s most memorable shows, a beautiful sunrise.
