A Helping Hand
Occasionally, nature needs just a little help! I did just that in today’s photo to achieve the image of the leading lines I was looking for during my sunrise photography session. This shot was taken from behind the pier at Lake Baldwin in Orlando, Florida, looking through the rails along the edge. And their very dark appearance is just the beginning of the leading lines.

If you look closely, there is a shadow on the water that appears to be traveling through the gazebo. And not too far behind that is the black silhouette of the horizon. These ultimately draw your eye through the photo, creating a complete shot. With just the right amount of bright and muted colors reflected in the water, the result is an image of sunrise photography that is satisfyingly beautiful in its simplicity.
Quote of the Day
We need to be reminded sometimes that a sunrise lasts but a few minutes. But its beauty can burn in our hearts eternally.
