As Road Trip 2022 continued our next destination took us to Canton, Ohio and the Gervasi Vineyard Winery and Resort. The only word I can possibly use to describe it is unbelievable! 

As soon as you turn down the tree lined drive, you’re immediately taken into a stunning Italian village and vineyard with grapes growing on the vines. And yes…they do make very good wines which you can enjoy in one of the three restaurants on property. You can also purchase a bottle or two to take with you after you dine or at the Marketplace. 

A tranquil pond complete with fountain, a courtyard overflowing with huge urns of flowers and a fire pit, and meticulously manicured lawns await your enjoyment outside the private patios of each room in the Casa. 

Dinner at The Crush House, which is open to the public, proved to be the perfect decision to unwind after a day of travel. We sat on the floral lined balcony and enjoyed an incredible meal paired with one of their fabulous wines. We concluded our evening by finishing the wine on our patio and appreciating the amazing view. 

My early morning run the next day afforded me time to soak in the property’s incredible beauty and say, “Hello” to the local wildlife. After breakfast in our room (which is included in the price) we took a walk along the Middle Branch Trail which is accessible from the inn. There is even a Gervasi Station Trailhead to help you decide your destination.

Our room was exceptionally beautiful, immaculately clean and included a gas fireplace, 12-foot high ceilings with wood beams, and a huge shower in the bathroom, complete with a TV to catch up on current events while getting ready in the morning. 

I know I’ve been gushing, but this incredible resort is worthy of all the praise. So I’ll close today’s blog by sharing that no matter where your travels may take you, do yourself a favor and make this one of your destinations. It is a decision you will never regret!
