While we spend time with family on Road Trip 2022, I’m excited to introduce a project I’ve been working on for the past several weeks.

Every morning while photographing the sunrise, several birds begin appearing as the sun breaks over the horizon. It has been an absolute delight to photograph their antics and interactions with each other. And because the majority are blackbirds, I chose to present this portfolio in black and white to accentuate their unique and beautiful characteristics. They often begin their days singing with beaks pointed skyward, so I had the pleasure of photographing ”their best side”!
