The next stop on Road Trip 2022 took us to Lookout Mountain, Georgia and the Chanticleer Inn Bed and Breakfast. Nestled atop the mountain, this quaint inn did not disappoint when in came to the view! Their tag line is ”Stay Among the Clouds, and as you can see from the photo above, this aptly describes its location.

The Chanticleer Inn Bed and Breakfast is located 10 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, located on Lookout Mountain above the clouds, at over 1800 feet above sea level. Built in 1927, the Inn has a distinctly European style with stone face wall Cottages, that provides all the traditional ambiance of a European villa, whilst enjoying all the modern amenities of today. Stay in any of the Cottages and select from the unique 20 beautifully appointed guest rooms that are nestled around the over 2 acres of lush gardens at the Inn’s courtyard, with swimming pool, fire-pit, and Bocce court, that make it the ideal place to relax.

We chose to stay in for the evening and enjoyed a bottle of wine from the local shop and pizza delivered from a local restaurant. It was the right choice as we got to appreciate the serenity of the adorable lobby and partake in few challenging games of checkers. Next morning we were treated to a yummy breakfast on the patio while enjoying the cool (yes cool) mountain air.
