A Lesson Learned
As residents of Florida for the past 34 years, my husband and I have learned to a valuable lesson. An appreciation of what a day spent at the beach can do for our well-being. Each time we’re there, I encounter the three R’s of the sea.
Renewal of the Soul
As I watch the waves lapping against the shore, coming and going with constancy. Each one is different, washing away whatever is in their way, renewing the sand and the soul, only to begin again.
Rejuvenation of the Mind
Walking along the shore at the beach, listening to the sound of the waves pushing ever inward, life’s challenges begin to melt away if only for a while. But perhaps just long enough to bring clarity and a renewed sense of purpose.
Recharging the Batteries
I am always amazed at how looking at the ocean and picking up shells at the beach takes the stress away and helps you find renewed energy to face the challenges life sends your way.
Time to Go to the Beach
And after we depart, one of the first things we say to each other is “We should do this more often”. So here are some photos so you too can experience the three R’s of the sea at the beach as often as needed!
