So we put a bird bath on the patio and for months had no winged visitors. (Although one morning I caught a pair of juvenile raccoons taking a bath!) Then one day we noticed an adorable mourning dove that came in every evening to get a drink and rest. Next a beautiful pair discovered this safe haven. They drank, bathed and rested. Sometimes for almost an hour! Even our presence did not deter them. It was a sheer delight to watch their interactions and became something we looked forward to everyday. Such a simple addition brought great joy and a chance to truly appreciate nature’s beauty.
