My family and were fortunate enough to recently experience two weeks in the one and only city of Paris, France. We indulged in its delicious food, explored some of the most iconic landmarks in the world, and immersed ourselves in its rich history and culture. As we quickly discovered, you never have to travel far (sometimes just down the street) to encounter its beauty and get lost in its wonder. So I invite you to join me on this journey as we explore “The Wonders of Paris”.

And there is no better place to begin, than at the most visited museum in the world, the Musee’ du Lourve. Construction began in 1546 by King Frances I, a great art collector. Expanded by almost every subsequent French monarch, it housed the kings and queens of France, until Louis XIV decided to move his residence to Versailles. Now it is home to some of the most famous artwork in the world.

But it’s not just the exhibits that are special. The structure itself is worthy of its own appreciation and awe. One could spend hours if not days never looking at the art, but upward and in every corner of the building (both inside and out) to discover the incredible beauty that is the Lourve.
