On the drive between Spearfish, South Dakota and Cody, Wyoming we traveled along a scenic route through Big Horn Canyon. And what a beautiful drive it was. With endless vistas, gorgeous wildflowers and even the ever elusive moose in the wild.

I just happened to see movement from the corner of my eye along the road and there he was. So amazing! Rarely seen in the wild, this lone male was enjoying an afternoon snack and appeared unaffected by our presence. Such an incredible “Northwest Encounter” along a drive that was already pretty spectacular.
